Portable air conditioner 3.5 kW
Woods Cortina WAC12G
Simple, solid, Swedish. Cools an office, shop or bedroom up to 35 m².
The Woods Cortina is a 12,000 BTU portable air conditioner from a Swedish maker that's been building them for decades — no app, no gimmicks, just a remote, a timer and a unit that works. Plug it into a normal socket, hang the exhaust hose out of a window with the kit supplied, and the room is noticeably cooler within 20 minutes. It also pulls 33 litres of moisture a day out of the air, so a muggy room feels better faster than the thermometer suggests.

Common questions
Does it need a window?
Yes — warm air has to go somewhere. Any opening window, vent or door works, and the kit and seal are included so it closes properly. If there's genuinely no way to vent, tell us and we'll suggest fans instead.
Will one unit cool my whole office?
One unit comfortably handles up to 35 m² with normal occupancy. For bigger rooms, hire two, or use the price builder on the home page which sizes it for you.
Is it noisy?
49 dB on low is about a quiet office; 64 dB on full is like a conversation nearby. Run it on high to pull the temperature down, then drop to low once the room is comfortable.
Do I need to empty water?
Sometimes. It evaporates most of the condensate out through the exhaust, but in humid weather the tank fills and the unit stops and tells you — just tip it out. For long hires we can supply a drain hose so it never needs emptying.
